Man standing before the way created by God
God makes new way for His people

Life can often feel like a spiritual desert, a dry and barren place where we struggle to find our way. We thirst for direction, for purpose, for a glimpse of hope on the horizon. This meditation, inspired by Isaiah 43 explores the transformative power of vision. It's not about positive thinking or wishful dreaming; it's about aligning our perspective with God's promises and seeing the potential for abundance even in the midst of trials. We'll discover how God calls us to shift our focus from the limitations of the past to the boundless possibilities of the future He has prepared for us, a future overflowing with rivers of blessing.

Seeing with God's Eyes:

"What I see, I will get."

This profound statement isn't about material acquisition; it's about the spiritual principle of manifestation. It emphasizes the importance of our perspective and how our beliefs shape our reality. Just as an athlete visualizes success before a competition, we too must see ourselves walking in God's promises. This requires faith, a deep trust that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. It's about seeing with the eyes of faith, perceiving the unseen realities of the spiritual realm. We too are called to see with God's eyes, to perceive the blessings He has in store for us, even when they are not yet visible in the natural realm.

Embracing the New:

Isaiah 43:19 (AMP): Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

God is not stagnant; He is constantly working, creating, and renewing. He is a God of new beginnings, always ready to do a new thing in our lives. This verse speaks of His power to bring forth life and abundance even in the most barren and desolate places. He promises to make a way where there seems to be no way, to create rivers of blessing in the midst of our dry and thirsty deserts. This requires us to be attentive, to listen carefully for His voice, and to be willing to step out in faith, even when we don't fully understand His plan.

"Listen carefully..."

This gentle admonition emphasizes the importance of truly hearing and receiving God's word. It's not enough to simply attend church or read the Bible; we must engage with it actively, meditating on its truths and allowing them to penetrate our hearts and minds. We must cultivate a posture of listening, of attentiveness to the still, small voice of God.

"When people say there is no way, you have to remember Yahweh, and He will make your way."

This powerful reminder encourages us to trust in God's power and provision, even when circumstances seem impossible. The world may tell us there's no hope, no way out, but God specializes in the impossible. He is the God of miracles, the one who can part the Red Sea, raise the dead, and bring forth rivers in the desert. Our job is not to figure out how; our job is to trust Him and believe that He will make a way.

The Overflowing Blessing:

Isaiah 43:20 (KJV): The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

God's blessings are not meant to be hoarded; they are meant to overflow and touch the lives of others. When we walk in obedience and allow God to work through us, His blessings extend beyond our own lives, impacting our families, communities, and even the natural world around us. The imagery of the wild beasts honoring God speaks to the undeniable evidence of His provision. When we are blessed, it becomes evident to all, a testament to God's faithfulness and power.

"Your blessing is going to be overflowing... You're not going to be in the same sickness... You're going to start operating in the anointing of God."

This is the transformative power of God's grace. He doesn't just meet our needs; He empowers us to become conduits of His blessing, agents of healing and restoration in the world. He breaks the chains of sickness, poverty, and despair, and releases us to walk in the fullness of His anointing.

Declared as Chosen:

Isaiah 43:21 (KJV): This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

We are not accidents; we are God's chosen people, created with a specific purpose: to show forth His praise. Our lives are meant to be a living testament to His goodness, His power, and His redeeming love. This is not about earning God's favor; it's about recognizing our identity as His beloved children and living in accordance with that truth.

John 7:38 (KJV): He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

This verse speaks to the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, the living water that flows from within us to refresh and nourish the world around us. When we believe in Jesus, we become carriers of His life-giving presence, a source of hope and healing to those around us.

Isaiah 43:1 (KJV): But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

This powerful declaration of God's love and ownership should banish all fear and anxiety from our hearts. We are redeemed, bought with a price, and called by name. We belong to God, and He will never leave us nor forsake us. This knowledge gives us security, confidence, and the courage to face any challenge.

Conclusion:

As we embrace the power of vision, let us fix our eyes on the promises of God, trusting that He will make a way in the wilderness and bring forth rivers in the desert. We are His chosen people, created for His glory, and empowered by His Spirit to live a life of abundance and blessing.

Reflect on This:

  1. What “former things” are you holding onto that might be hindering your spiritual vision?

  2. How can you actively cultivate a vision for your future that aligns with God’s promises?

Prayer:

Father, I thank you that I am your chosen child, redeemed and called by name. I declare that I am walking in your vision for my life, seeing the rivers in the desert and the way in the wilderness. I trust in your provision and your power to bring forth new things in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
